I would like to welcome everyone to my blog site. I hope this site will be beneficial to improving how we all think and perceive the world.
My name is Steven Stone. A little about me . I grew up in Long Island, New York in a half Christian home. My father was and is a devout Christian. He was always working so I really didn’t have him to go to for advice or just to talk too. My mother was abuse physically for many years, and verbally my whole life their. At the age of 21 I tried to commit suicide. Even with how long I waited to get help God spared my life and organs.
From New York I moved to Tennessee where my journey really began. I got married to a person that I was with off and on for 10 years. I found out though the sweet innocent person I thought she was, ended up being just like my mother. In Tennessee I continued to struggle with Christianity. I got caught up in giving tithes and offerings and God would provide everything I needed. I gave so much that we started to go $300 in more debt each month. Well, we left the church we were attending when I got in a wreck delivering phone books on a Sunday. When I told the pastor of the church he said it was probably because I wasn’t their to pick up people for church that day. Thing was it happened 2-3 hrs after church was over.
Well, a short time after I finally separated from my wife (which I’m still working on getting the divorce 7 years later all to do with not having money). Needless to say I now found someone who is helping to get me my divorce for 50 dollars instead of 1000 dollars.
A couple of months I got together with my oldest daughters mother. Things went down hill quick with our relationship and i didn’t work out. Basically, the only good thing that came out of it was my beautiful daughter who is 6 now. After we broke up I stayed pretty much single for a while accept for one person I had a short dating period of like 1 -2 months with.
After all this I met Miranda, the love of my life. I wish I met her years ago. She gave me two step daughters and one daughter of our own who is now 3. She has stood by my side through thick and thin. We lived together in a car for 6-8 months struggling just to get a job. We found out no matter how much of a hard worker you are, when employers see your homeless they will literally skip over you. I found out that the saying “get a job” is easier said the done when your home is a cardboard box, car, or gutter. We wonder why they drink, it’s to take the pain of rejection away that they get pounded with everyday. It gets to be so much that most give up and accept they will never get off the streets. (I hope this statement makes you think twice about ignoring or treating a homeless person like trash. It’s what I seen from personal experience.)
I want to thank Rick White for accepting us into the Rally’s Restaurant work-force. He helped us to get from the car to a actual home. He didn’t look at us like we were trash, but as people who needed a chance a he gave it to us. I worked there for 4 years.
Do to my last car wreck, I’ve been unable to work doing manual labor like I used too. My friend Harry Revel has stepped in and made a deal with me to sell books on-line for him. Please take the time to look at what we have. Anything that has (scs) next to the name on his on-line store I’ve put on and I get paid commission for selling them. If you have a thought about any of my posts here on this site please respond. As long as it’s decent it will be approved, even if you don’t agree with my comments. We all learn, grow, and become better people from seeing others views.
